Macro/Entomology

One thing I've always been fascinated by (other than video games and comics) is nature and natural history, thanks in no small part to David Attenborough. I'm enthralled by the sheer diversity of life on our little blue rock and how species have adapted to pretty much every environment. One branch of the study of nature I enjoy is entomology, the study of insects and other invertebrates, which is something I've been interested in ever since I was a child. There's just something intriguing to me about the tiny world beneath our feet and the peculiar creatures that inhabit it. I'd read books about them as well as entries in encyclopedias (later on I'd watch David Attenborough's Life in the Undergrowth with glee), not to mention go out into the wilds of my back garden to search for the creepy crawlies. When I discovered my phone's camera had a macro setting about a year ago, I couldn't stop myself from snapping pictures of tiny creatures: these are my results...
